Privacy policy
This site has no contact form, no account system and no advertising. The calculator runs entirely in your browser and remembers only your chosen metro area, stored on your own device. We do not sell or share personal data because we do not collect it.
What we collect
Nothing you type into the calculator. The calculation runs in your browser. Your home size, job type and metro are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Your metro choice, on your device. So the calculator remembers it next time, your selected metro is saved in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Standard server logs. Our web server records requests, which includes IP addresses, in the ordinary course of running a website. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not do
There is no contact form and no newsletter. We do not run advertising, we have no affiliate links, and we do not sell, rent or share data with lead buyers, contractors or marketing companies.
Cookies
We set no tracking or advertising cookies. WordPress may set functional cookies if you were to log in, which applies only to site administrators.
Third parties
Fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from Google, so visiting this site does not send a request to a third-party font service. Our host and content delivery network process requests in order to serve the site.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you beyond ordinary server logs, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. If you believe we hold something about you, email [email protected] and we will look.
Changes
If this site is ever monetised, this policy and the about page will be updated before any advertising or tracking is introduced.
Common questions
Does the calculator send my details anywhere?
No. It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted to us.
Do you use tracking cookies?
No. We set no advertising or analytics tracking cookies. Your metro choice is stored in your browser local storage, on your device only.
Will you sell my data to painting contractors?
No. We do not collect contact details, so there is nothing to sell.
What this page does not tell you
- Our host and CDN keep standard server logs, including IP addresses.
- Local storage is on your device and is cleared when you clear browser data.
- This policy will change if the site is ever monetised, and that change will be announced first.
